Returns & Refunds

We want you to love your Wombat sofa. This page explains what we cover, what we don't, and how to make a claim. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

All products we sell come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded. In short, products must be:

  • of acceptable quality;
  • fit for the purpose disclosed at the time of sale;
  • matching their description and any sample shown.

If a product fails to meet these guarantees, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund (depending on whether the failure is major or minor), and to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. We will not charge you for any remedy you are entitled to under the ACL.

Faulty or defective products

If your sofa has a manufacturing defect or fails to be of acceptable quality, contact us within a reasonable time of discovering the issue. Please provide:

  • your order number;
  • a description of the issue;
  • clear photos or a short video showing the problem.

We will assess each claim and, where the issue is covered by the ACL, arrange a repair, replacement, or refund. We may need to inspect the product before resolving the claim.

Damaged in transit

If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the packaging and product. We will organise a replacement or refund at no cost to you.

Change of mind

We do not currently offer change-of-mind returns. Once a compressed sofa is unpacked and expanded, it cannot be repacked for shipping in its compressed form. Please review product descriptions, dimensions, and images carefully before ordering.

If you change your mind before your order has been dispatched, contact us as soon as possible and we will cancel and refund where we can.

How to make a return claim

Email us at admin@wombathome.com.au with your order number and details of the issue. We'll respond within 2 business days with next steps.

Refund timing

Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5 business days. Depending on your bank, the funds may take a further 3–10 business days to appear on your statement.

Order cancellations

You can cancel an order any time before dispatch by emailing us. We will refund the full amount. Once an order has been dispatched, the sections above on faulty goods and transit damage apply.
